What is Hazard Mitigation?

The term Hazard Mitigation describes actions that communities can take to help reduce or eliminate long-term risks caused by natural disasters.  Natural Hazards in Hesperia can include earthquake, flooding, wildfire, drought and extreme heat and cold.
