Water
The Hesperia Water District is an independent County Water District incorporated pursuant to California Water Code Sections. The water supply is obtained entirely from groundwater located in the Alto Sub-Basin of the Mojave River Watershed and groundwater aquifer. The District serves in excess of 98,000 persons, averaging 16M gallons per day.

Water Quality Regulations

Sewer
Sewer collection, which is discharged to a regional treatment facility, is serviced by Hesperia Public Works Department. Sewer is provided at a cost of $17.54 per month per Equivalent Dwelling Unit (EDU), which is equal to twenty Planning Fixture Units.
Sanitation
Advance Disposal’s office is located at 17105 Mesa Street, Hesperia. The Class C landfill is permitted for 600 tons per day. A Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) is available at Advance Disposal and the Recycling Incentive Program provides free bin and free pickup. Pick-up services are made once a week. Hazardous waste can be taken to the Hesperia Fire Station located at 17443 Lemon Avenue in Hesperia. Hours are: Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and Saturdays 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. For more information, contact the station directly at (760) 947-0285.
